Amateur Gamers Beat Professional Esports Players

Esports professionals competed against amateur gamers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the "Red Bull For The Win!" tournament. Participants from Aachen and Burgenland secured the first two places.

Red Bull For The Win, the esports tournament that pits gamers against esports pros, took place this weekend in front of thousands of online viewers. The final at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg was won by 20-year-old amateur gamer Jeremy Colling (Jexoo) from Aachen. Second place went to 19-year-old Julian Kappel (JulianVXZ) from Burgenland, Austria. Both amateurs beat off competition from five esport professionals and twenty amateurs to take home the grand prize of 1,800 Euros and 900 Euros respectively. Third place (600 Euros) went to three-time European Fortnite champion CGN JannisZ. The fourth and fifth places (400 Euros and 200 Euros respectively) were won by professional esports players Fokus Asa and Vic0 from Vienna.
