Galacticare brings back memories of Theme Hospital, Evil Genius and Dungeon Keeper - or more recently Two Point Hospital, Evil Genius 2 or Spacebase Startopia. In this sci-fi hospital management simulator, players must build and manage a 23rd century galactic hospital that cures more than it kills - by building treatment rooms, placing equipment, hiring staff, customising the hospital and tweaking everything. Players take on scenarios in orbit around volcanic planets, deep space graveyards and planet-sized, psychic alien deities. With species with needs and traits, doctors with quirks, consultants with skill trees, the ability to prioritise conditions and direct traffic flow, and more mechanics, Galacticare promises an accessible management experience with rich systems. But the game also aims to set narrative accents. Characters react to the performance, outcomes, and choices of the players, and the Codex features evolving stories.
